Control Freaks LLC, doing business as Control Freaks (“Control Freaks,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates this website. We are a licensed California low voltage and alarm contractor, CSLB C-7 license #1154117 and BSIS Alarm Company Operator license ACO #8296. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect the name, email address, phone number, and message you provide. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address. If you become a customer, we collect the information needed to design, quote, install, and support your system, including your service address and details about your property and equipment.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server and any analytics tools we use may record your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is used to keep the site running and understand general usage patterns.
Cookies. This site may use cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and, if enabled, analytics. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Refusing cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
How we use your information

How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not share newsletter email addresses with anyone.
We share information only in these limited situations:
- Service providers. Companies that help us operate, such as our website host, email and form delivery services, and, for customers, the equipment manufacturers and central monitoring providers whose systems we connect on your behalf. These providers may only use the information to perform services for us.
- Legal requirements. When we are required to by law, subpoena, or regulatory authority, including the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services and the Contractors State License Board.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer as part of that transaction.
Your choices
Newsletter. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us and we will remove you. We process opt-out requests within ten business days.
Reviewing or changing your information. To ask what personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, email info@controlfreaks.us or call (949) 346-1984. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may keep records we are required to retain for licensing, warranty, tax, or legal reasons.
Do Not Track signals
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common industry standard for how to interpret these signals. This website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We also do not authorize third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your online activity across other websites when you visit this site.
Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here or as long as the law requires. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
California privacy rights
California residents have rights under state privacy law. Based on our size, we do not currently meet the thresholds that make the California Consumer Privacy Act apply to our business. Regardless, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and you may contact us at any time with a request to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and post the new version on this page. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page for a reasonable period.
